Pact of Almera

Thyrsus had rebelled against the authority of the Echani worlds known as the Six Sisters since the Begali Uprising of 1154 BBY, with numerous skirmishes being fought between the Echani and the Thyrsian special forces and their successor, the Sun Guard, despite the celestial body Begali itself renewing ties with the Echani Command. Following the signing of the Pact of Almera, the Six Sisters once again experienced peaceful times, while the Sun Guard became known as a famed galactic mercenary unit.

The Pact of Almera was originally meant to be introduced in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart; however, the section that would have mentioned it was cut before the book's release. The information regarding the treaty was later released in 2013 as part of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut, a series of articles published on the StarWars.com Blog by Fry and Del Rey editor Erich Schoeneweiss containing various cut content from the book.
