Orokite nodules were minerals accreted from the seabed by the leader of schools of the teal oroko, aquatic echinoderms native to the planet Kwenn. The oroko would deposit the orokite nodules into the sand, where they would dry out over decades and eventually be fed to the young once they were born. The nodules often sold for thousands on the illicit market, leading to poachers stealing the deposits and selling them to the Filthy Credits pirate gang on Kwenn's Quarney Key.
