Mollo was from Mon Cala and lived a life surrounded by war, granting him an understanding of the tumultuous nature of many planets in the Outer Rim Territories.
While Co-Chancellor Kyong Greylark preferred to stay on the Republic's capital Coruscant, Orlen Mollo travelled the Galactic Frontier on board the Paxion, his Longbeam-cruiser. He often worked with the Jedi to resolve conflicts making him a Chancellor of the people. Mollo and Greylark chose this strategy to further their reach in a time of expansion and exploration.
Mollo was created for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project and was first revealed in concept art by MinJi Yoon showcased during a panel at Celebration Anaheim on May 26, 2022.
