Orbital mining station


Orbital mining stations were space stations situated in the orbit of astronomical objects for the purpose of mining operations. Some orbital mining stations were operated by skeleton crew in the Redhurne system during the late years of the Galactic Republic and during the time of the Galactic Empire. Orbital tibanna gas mining stations were situated above the planet Pandem Nai the mining operations being led from Orbital One during the Empire's occupation of the planet.

Orbital mining stations were first mentioned in the 2015 novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, written by Alexander Freed. Orbital stations first appeared in Freed's 2019 novel Alphabet Squadron, the first installment of his trilogy Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron.
