The village was mostly untouched by the civil war during the Cold War, despite numerous strikes from the Mantellian Separatist Movement. It was under almost the sole control of the Galactic Republic and the Ord Mantell Central Authority.
The village contained several residences, a workshop, and a vehicle depot, where mostly agricultural vehicles were kept. Other features of the village include a small medical station, and a speeder pad used to travel to Fort Garnik and other places around Avilatan.
