Oracle salve was a substance made from the deceased members of the Scyre and Claw clans on Parnassos. It was given almost religious reverence due to its importance in the long term survival of the clan.
Oracle salve was a dark green, oily substance created by a ritual involving an implement called a Detraxor. The substance was used to protect the Scyre members from their harsh environment such as acid rain, extreme sun, and many diseases. It was thought to protect them in battle, sometimes applied in stripes on the cheeks. There was also a different variety of salve that was used to heal the wounds the tribe incurred in their various battles with other clans.
