The Oovo Four detention center was located on the prison moon Oovo 4. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, the prisoners held there were restrained with specialized durasteel restraints manufactured by convicts on the Delrian Prison Planet. Governor Arihnda Pryce was told by a receptionist in her Coruscant office that she had received about twenty messages over the past year from her old friend Juahir Madras, who was in the detention center.
The Oovo Four detention center was mentioned canonically in the 2017 novel Thrawn, written by Timothy Zahn. The detention center was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via Star Wars: Episode I Racer, a 1999 LucasArts video game, in which it was known as Desolation Alley.
