Numa's mother

A female individual was the mother of the Twi'lek Numa, who was born four years before the outbreak of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance. Alongside Numa and her father, the mother lived within in a home of the small city of Nabat, located on the Twi'lek home planet Ryloth. Later, during the war in 22 BBY, Ryloth was invaded by the Confederacy's droid armies, which led to an attack on Nabat.

In the attack, Numa's mother was gathered alongside several other citizens, including her father and uncle. As a result, they were utilized by the Confederacy as living shields against the Republic during their liberation of the planet. However, Numa's mother was killed along with her father before Ryloth's liberation in 21 BBY. Several years after the rise of the Galactic Empire, Numa reflected on her family's use as living shields during the war by the Confederacy.

Numa's was first indirectly mentioned in "Innocents of Ryloth," the twentieth episode of the first season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, which aired on March 6, 2009. She was further expanded upon in Star Wars: On the Front Lines, a 2017 reference book authored by Daniel Wallace, which established Numa as having a father instead of being referred to as "parents" as mentioned in "Innocents of Ryloth." In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Numa's mother was introduced in The Clone Wars: Curfew, an issue of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars comic series, authored by Pablo Hidalgo, illustrated by Katie Cook, and published on March 9, 2009.
