NovaSword

NovaSwords were mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the NovaSword Space Superiority Fighter was introduced by an indirect mention in the second issue of the Star Wars: Obsession comic-book series, authored by W. Haden Blackman, illustrated by Brian Ching, and published by Dark Horse Comics on December 29, 2004.

The starfighter later made its first full appearance in the comic-book series' third issue, authored by W. Haden Blackman, illustrated by Brian Ching, and published by Dark Horse Comics on February 2, 2005. Its name was then given in The Force Unleashed Campaign Guide, a 2008 supplement to the Star Wars Roleplaying Game Saga Edition Core Rulebook published by Wizards of the Coast for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.
