Mynock leather was a type of white leather that shared its name with the parasitic creatures known as mynocks. Marda Ro—the Evereni founder of the pirate group who would eventually become the Nihil—owned a pair of staves wrapped in white mynock leather that came into her possession between 382 BBY and around 381 BBY.
Around the latter year, Ro drew one of them against the Twi'lek Fori Nagor on the planet Dantooine after Nagor followed her from a public house in the world's oldest settlement. Later, at some point no earlier than 379 BBY, Ro used the staves again during a friendly fight with the Evereni Vika Faer. Ro mentioned mynock leather while talking about her staves in a message she recorded for her descendants. By 252 BBY, during his youth, Ro's great-great-grandson Marchion Ro had listened to her journal, including the message where mynock leather was mentioned.
