The Mon Calamari Rangers were a resistance organization active on Dac in 137 ABY. The Rangers' goal was the protection of Mon Calamari refugees and opposing the genocide of their people that began with the Massacre of New Coral City.
Before Admiral Stazi's capture of the Imperious, the Mon Calamari Council took precautions in case that they would suffer for the ship's theft. However, their preparations were cut short when Darth Krayt, Dark Lord of the Sith and Galactic Emperor, ordered the extermination of 10% of the planet's population as an example to the rest of the galaxy.
Joined up with Imperial Knight Treis Sinde, the Mon Calamari Rangers sought to protect their people until the Empire could be driven off planet. With his guidance, the Rangers faced the Sea Leviathan during the Battle of Devil's Crevasse. After Master Sinde returned to Bastion, he was replaced by Jedi Master Asaak Dan.
In preparation for evacuation of the planet's civilian population orchestrated by Admiral Gar Stazi of the Galactic Alliance Remnant, the Rangers, with the aid of Master Dan seized the floating city of Heurkea, facing a small garrison of stormtroopers in the process.
