Mon Cal

The Mon Cal was a Mon Calamari resistance group led by Faa-Char during the Galactic Civil War that operated in Mon Calamari space near Overic Griplink. Although the Alliance to Restore the Republic had a good relationship with Admiral Raddus and his factions, the Rebel Alliance had not yet convinced the majority of the Mon Cals. Due to the actions of Raddus and his Mon Cal refugees, the Galactic Empire viewed the entire Mon Calamari species as guilty of treason.

The Mon Cal were featured in a report to Mon Mothma on groups that the Rebel Alliance could ally themselves with, and the report was later included in The Rebel Files. After the fall of the Empire and the rise of the First Order, The Rebel Files were uncovered and given to the Resistance. When reviewing the files, Admiral Gial Ackbar made a note on Faa-Char.
