A mobile battle group was comprised of three repulsorlift regiments, an armor regiment, and . It included 16,106 personnel, 1,342 repulsorcraft, and 265 heavy tanks. Mobile battlegroups were deployed to theatres where enemy territory was adjacent to loyalist Imperial holdings, allowing the battlegroup to respond to enemy action and to make lightning raids.
Mobile battlegroups could be augmented by the addition of two more repulsorlift regiment, an artillery regiment, and a armor regiment.
