Mission to the Living Waters

During the New Republic Era, around 9 BBY, the Mandalorian Din Djarin undertook a mission to the Living Waters in the Mines of Mandalore. Djarin took on the mission after removing his helmet and thus becoming an apostate to the Children of the Watch, and being told by one of the sect's leaders, a woman called "the Armorer," that the only way he could repent was by bathing in the Living Waters. He enlisted the help of astromech droid R5-D4 to monitor the air quality of Mandalore and make sure it was breathable. After the droid confirmed it was, he began his journey down to the mines with his son Grogu by passing through the ruined city of Sundari and its Civic Center.

After his first attempt to reach the waters was thwarted when he was captured by a cyborg scavenger, Grogu traveled in Din Djarin's N-1 starfighter to Kalevala to retrieve fellow Mandalorian Bo-Katan Kryze, who traveled to Mandalore with Grogu and rescued Djarin from the creature before leading him to the Living Waters. When Djarin walked into the waters, he fell down a large drop-off into a massive chasm below, forcing Kryze to save him by diving in and propelling herself with her jetpack. While bringing Djarin back up to the surface, Kryze came across a mythosaur in the waters. Unconscious, Djarin did not notice the mythosaur. Djarin had taken a proof form the Living Waters, and they left for Kalevala.

Over Kalevala, they were attacked by TIE/IN interceptors. After destryoing a few interceptors, they eventually retreated to the Tribe's covert, where both Djarin and Kryze were accepted to the Children of the Watch, as both were redeemed by bathing in the Living Waters.
