During the Clone Wars, in 22 BBY, the expression was used by Padawan Halagad Ventor while on a mission to the planet Skye.

Behind the scenes

The phrase "Minions of Xendor" first appeared in the 1997 novel The Paradise Snare, the first volume of Star Wars: The Han Solo Trilogy authored by A. C. Crispin. The 2001 article The Emperor's Pawns, co-written by Abel G. Peña and published in Star Wars Gamer 5, later revealed that "Xendor and his minions" were the Dark Jedi responsible for the First Great Schism, a conflict originally mentioned in the 1996 comic Tales of the Jedi – The Golden Age of the Sith 0. The 2005 reference book The New Essential Chronology, co-written by Daniel Wallace, finally identified Xendor's followers as the Legions of Lettow.
