Military protocol droids, also known as protocol and regulations droids, were a subclass of protocol droid designed for military applications. Though classified as third-degree droids, they were also categorized as battle droids. Manufactured by Cybot Galactica, the M-3PO military protocol droid, a variant of the 3PO-series protocol droid, was an example of such a droid.
IMP-22 was an Imperial military protocol droid programmed in politics and warfare, which made it a valuable advisor. The military protocol droid M-3PO served as the quartermaster of Rogue Squadron.
