Giacchino also composed the music for Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, played FN-3181 in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, and provided additional voices in Rogue One. He also portrayed a Sith trooper in Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.
He has served as composer for many of The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams' projects, such as the TV series Alias and Lost and the motion pictures Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Jurassic World and Star Trek Beyond. Along with Kevin Kiner, Giacchino is one of only two composers who has written music for both Star Wars and Star Trek.
He worked on three games published by LucasArts: Secret Weapons Over Normandy, Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction (with Chris Tilton), and Fracture (as a music producer).
