A year before the Battle of Yavin, Ikova welcomed Princess Leia Organa during her stay at Kattada. While the princess searched refuge she was found by stormtroopers and captured alongside Mia Ikova.
Mia Ikova is shot.
She was shot by Commander Karg and his stormtroopers and passed away in Leia's starship. Before passing away, she reminded a mourning Leia of her mission to help free the galaxy and that Leia was not guilty for her death.
