A valuable ring that was a unique treasure was given as a gift by the king of the planet Gascon to his queen, Marilla. The queen in turn gifted the ring to her lover, the Prime Minister of the planet Demigue. Following the formation of the New Republic, Gascon's king announced a ball to be had in a week's time. In order to prevent her affair from being revealed, Marilla tasked a group of individuals with retrieving the ring from Demigue in time for the ball.
