Margan was a diplomat from the planet of Shawken, and a part of Santor's government in 4 ABY. Margan was present during Santor's meeting with diplomats from the Alliance of Free Planets, and proposed Santor to represent Shawken in the new galactic government. Margan later accompanied Santor and the Alliance representatives—including Jedi Luke Skywalker—into Shawken's ancient ruins to disable the Shawken Device, a forgotten superweapon that had been inadvertently activated after the diplomats' arrival.
