Mandalore the First

According to legend, he formed the Mandalorian Crusaders on Mandalore approximately around 7000 BBY, though Mandalore the Conqueror was actually the Crusaders' first leader. Mandalore the First was the earliest known wearer of a ceremonial mask, carved from the rigid bone of a mythosaur's sternum taken from the slain creature's heart, and modeled after the facial features of the Taung species. He was also the first person to use the title Mand'alor. As his fame and achievements grew, Mandalore's mask became the symbol of his power and leadership to all Mandalorians.
