Manax root was a poison that existed by the time of the Clone Wars. Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, the assassin Ochi traveled to the planet Coruscant to assassinate Emperor Palpatine's Royal Guard, before he carried out the job he visited Zlarb who named manax root as a poison he had avaiable for the assassin to use in his job.
