During the Galactic War, when the Hutt Cartel took control of the planet Makeb, the Makrin's home planet. Some Makrin proved to be formidable opponents against the forces of those who wished to explore Makeb's natural beauty although they were normally docile unless attacked. Unscrupulous vendors were known to have sold common tree branches falsely labeled as "Creeper Trophies" to tourists. It was not unheard of for travelers to camp on small hillocks which, unknown to them, were large Makrin Creepers who had partially buried themselves to blend into their environment. Additionally, some makrin creepers were observed to spit a sticky substance at enemies.
