MSP80 Pteropter hover pods, also known as Trandoshan skiffs, were used as the main transportation for Garnac's hunting guild on their hunts. The hover pods could hold multiple passengers and were equipped with multiple weapons systems. They were customized with various colors and designs.
When Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano met a group of former Padawans also stranded on the hunting moon Wasskah, they conspired to escape the moon, stealing a hover pod from two of the hunters, Crix and Smug, and using it to fly to the Trandoshan's base.
Near the end of the Clone Wars, Tano commandeered a variant of the hover pod to rescue her comrades Trace and Rafa Martez, who had been captured and were about to be executed by the Pyke Syndicate. However, the hover pod was damaged by a laser cannon, and the three were recaptured.
