Lurca hounds were a species of dog on the planet Wayland. They had gray skin, and the sclera of their eyes was red while their pupils were blue. Lurcas had bony frills protruding from their noses—which were snubbed—and were muscular. While members of the species were not usually domesticated, one member of the species, Batcher, was—by the clone Omega. The remainder of the lurca hounds kept by the Galactic Empire were controlled via behavioral collars that influenced their movements and behaviors.
Lurca hounds first appeared in "Confined," the first episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch's third season, which premiered on February 21, 2024.
