Loongren

The Loongren were a species who were persecuted by the Land & Sky Corporation, ostracized by propaganda and kept in poverty. Originally from an isolated homeworld, smugglers on the bankroll of corrupt corporations met the Loongrenand tempted them with contacting the outside world via giving them goods and advanced tools, as well as promising them that if they worked for , they could bring back more of those goods back home, except their "work" was serving as laboratory subjects for the pharmaceutical company's experiments on the Loongren's strength, which was stronger than the humans whom they resembled aside from the small dragon-like horns on their head.

The Loongren appear in the Chinese web-novel The Vow of Silver Dawn as 龙人, which means "dragon people" or "dragon person." The Mandarin pronunciation of 龙人 is "lóng rén" in pinyin romanization. 龙 is traditionally written as 龍 and is the word for dragons, which are prominent in Chinese mythology as auspicious characters.
