A laser cutter was a laser tool that could be used to slice though almost any material, though it could also be used as a weapon. When in use, it generated a substantial recoil, which could knock its user backwards if not anchored.
During the Clone Wars, the astromech droid U9-C4 was outfitted with a concealed laser cutter for a mission to secure a Separatist encryption module. The Decimator, a prototype Separatist droid, was also equipped with a laser cutter.
