Lanchu Skaa


Lanchu Skaa was a male Jedi Master who lived during the waning years of the Galactic Republic. Sometime before or during the year 22 BBY, he took the Chiss Nuru Kungurama as his Padawan. In 22 BBY, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi was captured on a mission to the planet Geonosis and Skaa was part of a Jedi task force sent to the planet to rescue Kenobi, who had been sentenced to death. Skaa was killed in the ensuing battle, which sparked the Clone Wars.

Lanchu Skaa was a Force-sensitive male who lived during the last decades of the Galactic Republic. Skaa was trained in the ways of the Force by the Jedi Order and eventually reached the rank of Jedi Master. Before or during the year 22 BBY, he took the Chiss Nuru Kungurama as his Padawan. In 22 BBY, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi was captured by the Separatists on the planet Geonosis, and the Jedi sent a task force to rescue Kenobi from execution. Master Skaa was part of the strike team and left his Padawan without a chance to say goodbye. Skaa was killed during the mission, and his fellow Jedi Master Ring-Sol Ambase accepted Kungurama as his Padawan. Both Ambase and Kungurama mourned Skaa during the ensuing Clone Wars.

Personality and traits


Although Skaa left Nuru Kungurama without saying farewell, both Ring-Sol Ambase and Kungurama believed that he would have done so if he had had the time. Both liked Skaa and felt immense grief after the death of the Jedi Master.

Powers and abilities


Skaa possessed the knowledge and the skills required to become a Jedi Master. Although he was a trained Jedi, he was killed during the Battle of Geonosis like many other Jedi.

Lanchu Skaa was first mentioned in The Clone Wars: Secret Missions 1: Breakout Squad, a 2009 novel written by Ryder Windham. Skaa's first name was revealed in the following novel, Curse of the Black Hole Pirates.
