Kyvalon-4 was a type of gas sometimes used in the repulsorlifts of starships. It was considered harmless to most sentient races, including Humans and Near-Humans.
One species that was known to exhibit a negative reaction to Kyvalon-4 was the Ithorians. When exposed, Ithorians temporarily became homicidal maniacs.
