Kuat Photonics was a privately-owned Kuati endeavor. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, their ships were tracked by Talon Karrde and found to be carrying supplies for the Peace Brigade. They were thought to be sponsored by New Republic senator Viqi Shesh, although even Han Solo was unable to find to evidence to such a partnership.
