Krath war droid

The Krath war droid was an ancient type of droid. When creating the ED-V8-series envoy droid, the Rseikharhl Droid Group built it around the chassis of a Krath war droid. It shared its name with the Krath, an ancient group from the Deep Core. The IG-series 100 MagnaGuard that was produced by Holowan Laboratories for the Supreme Martial Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies, General Grievous, takes inspiration from the Krath war droid.

The Krath war droid was first mentioned in canon in Nexus of Power, a 2016 sourcebook published by Fantasy Flight Games for the Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game. The droid originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, first appearing in the third issue of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi - Dark Lords of the Sith, written by Tom Veitch and Kevin J. Anderson and published on December 13, 1994.
