Klothow

Klothow was a Dathomirian female Nightsister witch, who was one of three Great Mothers who allied with Mitth'raw'nuruodo. In 9 ABY, they greeted Morgan Elsbeth and her mercenaries Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati when they arrived on the planet Peridea. They had called Elsbeth through her dreams and claimed their meeting was fate. She and her sisters later heralded the arrival of a Jedi, who Thrawn suspected to be Ahsoka Tano. Klothow then aided the Grand Admiral in locating Tano's location within the Purrgil graveyard. Following the transfer of their cargo to Thrawn's Star Destroyer, the Chimaera, Klothow used her magick to create Elsbeth's facial tattoos and gifted her with the Blade of Talzin. She was also present when Elsbeth agreed to remain behind to slow down Tano, and her allies. While leaving Peridea aboard the Eye of Sion, Klothow sensed Morgan's death at the hands of Tano and informed him. This prompted him to bombard the Dathomiri Fortress, to Klothow's displeasure. Upon successfully escaping the far galaxy, she was escorted to Dathomir.

Behind the scenes

Klothow first appeared in "Part Six: Far, Far Away," the sixth episode of the Ahsoka television series and was portrayed by Claudia Black. While not identified in the episode, her name was given in the credits. In Greek Mythology, the similarly named Clotho was one of three goddesses known as the Fates who determined destiny itself, similar to how Klothow and the other Great Mothers could read and know fate. Clotho specifically was the one of the three goddesses who spun the thread of fate.
