A Klivian was an alcoholic drink originally brewed by Rebel pilot Derek "Hobbie" Klivian. It was a potato-based liquor concocted in a hollowed-out old R2 series astromech droid. It was orange in color and had a citrusy taste. After Klivian's death at the Battle of Hoth, his squadron-mates Wedge Antilles and Wes Janson continued to brew the drink and named it after their deceased friend. Although not many truly enjoyed the taste of a Klivian, it has use as a palate cleanser and also served as a way to honor the fallen pilot.
