Kin Dragen was a non-binary member of the group known as the Dragens. By 3 ABY, they had a conversation with the House of Tagge scion Ronen Tagge during which, according to Ronen, they said something "terribly rude" about his aunt—Lady Domina Tagge. After the conversation, Ronen had Dragen's "manners corrected."
That year, as Ronen held a party in his penthouse in Canto Bight—the capital city of the Outer Rim planet Cantonica,—a guest informed Ronen of their surprise that none of the Dragens had turned up to the party. In response, Ronen told the guest of what Kin had supposedly done the last time the two spoke and his subsequent correction of their manners.
Kin Dragen was mentioned in the third issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. The issue was written by Alyssa Wong and published by Marvel Comics on August 26, 2020. Prior to the release of the comic, Dragen was mentioned in a preview article of the issue that was published on StarWars.com on August 19 of the same year. Wong later confirmed on Twitter that the use of "they/them" pronouns for Dragen was intended to indicate a non-binary gender for the character.
