The Khoz'zhak was an ancient piece of Gree technology whose purpose remained unknown. By the Imperial period, it was a guarded by a tribe of feral Gree living deep in the wilderness of the planet Asation and also jealously pursued by Gree artifact-keepers from Te Hasa.
It was discovered among ancient ruins in the jungles of Asation by Corellia Antilles' survey group, after which point they were pursued by jungle-dwelling Gree and various beasts. Antilles was forced to hide the device in a structure two days' travel out from Satikan, and made her way back to the city. Most members of the expedition lost their lives. A group of Gree artifact-keepers from Te Hasa obsessed with retrieving the Khoz'zhak arrived on Asation to stop her, but she narrowly escaped them and hired a small team of visiting adventurers to retrieve the artifact while she went into hiding. Though they were successful, the Te Hasan Gree caught up with them and demanded an exchange, paying a large number of credits and one Gree device of lesser import for the Khoz'zhak.
