The Key of Exile was required to access the Chamber of Banishment was located in the Nightsister Stronghold on Dathomir, homeworld of the Nightsisters.
The Key of Exile appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. The Key of Exile was added to the game along with the "Axkva Min" Heroic Encounter, introduced with the release of the "Chapter 7" update, on November 1, 2007.
In the game, the Key of Exile was depicted as a purple and silver Sith holocron.
