Kela Neerik was a female Imperial officer who held the rank of commander in the Imperial Navy around the time of the Battle of Yavin, and flew a TIE fighter within Black Squadron, an elite TIE fighter unit. During the battle, Neerik informed Black Squadron when the Death Star was six minutes from being within firing range of the moon, Yavin 4.
