Kato Zakar

Known as the Firelands due to intense volcanism in the heartland of the continent, Kato Zakar's northern shore stretched along the Thyrian Ocean. Inland of the beaches were the vast Strafe Plains, a broad scrubland wracked with Force Storms that shaped the environment. Covering some five hundred kilometers, the lava-pocked plains began to climb upward as they moved south towards the Ice Giant Range. In the snow-covered peaks, a Tho Yor had touched down in 36,453 BBY, and a community of pilgrims formed around it. Eventually the Temple of Martial Arts, Stav Kesh, took form in the summit of the mountain above the Tho Yor and became a place of pilgrimages for members of the Je'daii Order.

The heartland of the continent was the site of dense volcanic activity, located some thirty-two hundred kilometers from the northern coast. This volcanism made the core of Kato Zakar tumultuous and difficult to explore. The eastern side of the continent was covered in dense fungi forests that eventually gave way to swamps before kilometers of rolling dunes terminated in the eastern coastline. Beyond the coast was the Moon Channel and the seven islands that dotted the horizon for one hundred kilometers, beyond which lay the continent of Talss. The port city of Ban Landing was located in this region along the channel, providing transport to Talss via ship.
