The Kashi system was a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Phelleem sector.
The Kashi system was first mentioned in the roleplaying adventure "Relic," which was authored by George R. Strayton for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and published in the May 1995 sixth issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal magazine. The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the system in grid square S-7.
