Karnac was a terrestrial astronomical object characterized by its ocean dunes. When the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin took a job to collect a Mon Calamari nobleman's son who had skipped bail from the Bounty Hunters' Guild agent Greef Karga, Karga directed him to Karnac. Djarin made to leave for Karnac, but did not end up undertaking the job.
Karnac was mentioned in Chapter 3 of the television series The Mandalorian, released on Disney+ on November 22, 2019.
