Kandon Ark was a green-skinned male Twi'lek who lived on Taris during the Jedi Civil War. During the Bek–Vulkar gang war, he ran the swoop bike garage within the Black Vulkar Base.
At some point prior to 3956 BBY, Ark joined the Black Vulkars, a swoop gang on Taris. He eventually became one of the chief lieutenants to Brejik, the leader of the Black Vulkars, and was in charge of the their garage inside their base. As one of the most important Vulkars in the swoop gang, Ark had many assistants and a bodyguard.
In 3956 BBY, he was tasked with guarding an enhancement for swoop bikes called a prototype accelerator that was stolen from the Hidden Beks, a rival gang, and stored inside of the Vulkars' garage.
A Republic soldier named Revan was hired by the Hidden Beks to recover the prototype accelerator and broke into the Black Vulkars' garage, but ran into Ark, his bodyguard, and several other Vulkars. Ark attempted to convince Revan to turn on the Beks and kill their leader, Gadon Thek, but Revan refused and was forced to kill Ark, his bodyguard, and the other Vulkars. Afterwards, Revan collected the accelerator, and brought it to the Beks.
If the player follows the dark-side option in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Revan does not kill Ark, but instead accepts his proposal of joining the Black Vulkars and killing Gadon Thek. Ark then promotes Revan as a swoop rider for the Vulkars. If the player returns to the Black Vulkar Base after killing Brejik, he will not be present, but his bodyguard and the other members of the gang will be there and attack the player.
