Kam

Biography

Kam and his partner Amos Tillian discovered a damaged EX droid and realized it didn't belong to the Pathfinder team they were working with. After Tillian patched the droid into their ship's systems, Kam was able to read the output of the droid's memory banks and found out it was EX-8C who belonged to Outer Rim Expedition Two-Five-Two. He found a repeating audio distress call from Rok Buran. As Tillian went to contact Master Sho's Pathfinder team, Kam set course for Aubadas.

After landing and joining up with the Pathfinders, he and the rest of the team were led by the native Katikoot to the ambassador's lounge in the capital city of Diurna where they waited for the Jedi to finish their meeting with the leader of the Katikoot. Tillian drank a glass of Hibinacho juice but became jittery from the high sugar content so Kam took it away from him.

Silandra Sho returned and informed the rest of what the Katikoot told her about the other Pathfinder activities. The Jedi requested he and Tillian look at the Katikoot's communications systems to see if they could figure out why there was so much static and interference.

Kam accompanied Tillian to the systems hub in the center of Diurna to look at the equipment. He speculated that the interference could be caused by the electrical storms could affect long-range communications but Tillian pointed out that local comms were also having issues. The Twi'lek postulated that the problem might be with the Katikoot's lack of backup systems but Tillian dismissed this as their technology was quite advanced. Kam drank some tea and suggested they take another look at the main relay. He put his cup down on top of the monitors which annoyed his partner. Talking about the problem, Kam wondered if it could be sabotage and not an accidental failure of the system. He and Tillian took a closer look at the main communications relay and realized that a power hub looked different than the others. When GT-11 removed the casing from the power hub, Kam and his partner realized it was a fake. Unfortunately, the discovery of the device led it to shutdown the entire system and terminate all the power in the city.

Kam climbed under the machinery on his belly and examined the wires and circuitry. GT-11 provided illumination as Kam worked on restoring power. Tillian became nervous that the Katikoot were growing upset at the power outage and suggested Kam work faster. Tillian became nervous that the Katikoot might throw them in jail for breaking the city's power supply, but Kam reassured him that the locks were probably electronic so they weren't working either. The Twi'lek was able to make some connections in a junction box that briefly restored the city's power, but it shorted out after working for a moment. He switched places with Tillian, who continued the repairs. Once done, Kam pressed a button on the console to restore the power. After two tries, the power came back on. When they didn't hear any cheers, Kam suggested the Katikoot might be wary that the fix was permanent.

When the Pathfinders returned from Gloam, Kam joined them in celebrating the end of the Eiram and E'ronoh War.
