Kalwar was a young Quermian male cadet who served aboard the Byne Guild's Class A modular freight transport Legacy Run as a navigator during the High Republic Era. In 232 BBY, Kalwar was responsible for detecting an astronomical object that the Legacy Run was going to crash into, informing Captain Hedda Casset of his discovery. Moments before the crash, Casset felt pride in Kalwar's disciplined and calm actions despite the grave circumstances that lead to their deaths. Kalwar had gray skin and brown eyes, and wore some clothing with a black collar.
Kalwar first appeared in Light of the Jedi, a novel written by Charles Soule and published in 2021 as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.
