Kalidor

In the current Star Wars canon, the kalidor was mentioned in the Star Wars Roleplaying sourcebook Lead by Example, which was written by John Dunn and published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2016 for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game system. The avians originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were created for the 1993 video game Star Wars: X-Wing, in which they appeared as part of the Kalidor Crescent award for players. The Farlander Papers, a companion book written by Rusel DeMaria and included with the limited edition release of the game, specified that the kalidor was the bird depicted on the medal.
