The Kaleesh Resistance was a resistance group that operated among the Kaleesh during the Kaleesh–Imperial conflict following the Clone Wars. Under the leadership of General Bentilais san Sk'ar, they held out against the Imperial occupiers for nearly a decade until they were finally routed by Captain Thrawn.
Thrawn, who was usually able to study his adversaries' art and devise a strategy to defeat them from there, was unable to comprehend Kaleesh artworks, and so leveled Oben with his Star Destroyers; inflicting heavy casualties and bringing an end to the insurrection. One of the few survivors was Sk'ar himself, whom subsequently joined the Imperial Army out of respect for his former foes' tactics.
