Kajidier was one of the Clans of the Ancients, the leading Hutt kajidics that could trace their ancestry back to the ancient Hutt homeworld Varl, and was accorded the right to a seat on the Hutt Grand Council. The clan's primary base of operations was on the planet Nal Hutta and also held influence on the worlds Gamorr, Nar Shaddaa, Saqqar, Syvris, and Ulmatra.
The Kajidier clan played an important role in Hutt society by recruiting Gamorreans from Gamorr to serve as security guards for the Hutt clans. Illegal activities that the clan was involved in included slavery, theft, gambling, smuggling and trading in spice. The clan also operated several legitimate businesses relating to bodyguard and mercenary recruitment, foodstuffs and droids.
Though Kajidier was one of the ancient Hutt clans, it rarely held an influential position in Hutt society. During the Galactic Civil War, the clan was led by the Hutt Jelpel.
