Kagi was an individual who worked for the Sith Lord Darth Sidious soon after he proclaimed himself Emperor of the Galactic Empire, holding the rank of captain. Shortly after the conclusion of his duel with Jedi Master Yoda in the Galactic Senate Chamber, Darth Sidious ordered Mas Amedda to inform Kagi to prepare his Theta-class T-2c shuttle for immediate takeoff to the Outer Rim planet Mustafar, where his newly appointed Sith apprentice–Darth Vader–was dueling with Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Captain Kagi continued to serve the Galactic Empire as Sidious' shuttle pilot, and at one point flew a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle in a hangar.
Kagi was first mentioned in the 2005 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.
