The K-series was a line of astromech droids who were active during the Imperial and New Republic Eras. Their heads resembled the R-series line of astromechs, particularly the R2 series astromech droids. In 9 BBY, KP-1, a masculine astromech droid associated with the Hidden Path, was found on the planet Jabiim. During the New Republic Era around in 9 ABY a few K-series astromechs could be found on the droid bar The Resistor, on Plazir-15.
