Jep Gri

Captain Jep Gri was a member of the Path of the Open Hand cult. In 382 BBY, during the battle known as the Night of Sorrow on the planet Dalna, Gri was in a starship that attacked the Jedi ship Lazuli. Later, Gri's ship encountered the Forward ReCon fighter G-2 as it took off from Dalna's surface. Via comms, Gri told G-2's pilot, Princess Xiri A'lbaran of the planet E'ronoh, that she was not authorized to fly and ordered her to identify herself. A'lbaran informed Gri that she was seizing the fighter because she and her husband, Prince Phan-tu Zenn of the planet Eiram, had been attacked by the Path while engaging in a pleasant dialogue with the cult. Gri's ship then fired on the fighter, but A'lbaran evaded it. The battle ended with the Path's defeat, causing the cult to dissolve and its members to scatter.

Jep Gri's voice appeared in the 2023 novel The High Republic: Cataclysm, written by Lydia Kang as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II.
