Jedi Temple's computer core

The Jedi Temple's computer core was a spherical chamber located on Level 351 of the New Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant. A semicircular service balcony with railings supporting several display banks and interface stations reached about fifteen meters into the chamber, which featured orbs of processing clusters that crackled and had memory clouds floating in between, giving off a soft blue light. Flickers of blue current and red, green, and yellow holographic status indicators hung in the chamber, and three swiveling chairs were placed before the primary administrative interface console.

Leading up to the Jedi's assault on the New Jedi Temple, the Sith serving the dark side entity Abeloth set up their ambush outside the decontamination chamber that led into the core. As they did so, Abeloth had possession of the Galactic Alliance Chief of State, Rokari Kem, as an avatar, and she sealed herself alongside the Chief of Staff, Wynn Dorvan, in the core. Under Abeloth's captivity, a horrified Dorvan used a hold-out blaster to kill Abeloth as Kem, but the avatar's death allowed Abeloth's spirit to take over the computer core itself.

The core's darkness thus emanated a huge feminine face that was vaguely Human, bearing Abeloth's features of long yellow hair, silver eyes sank deep within their sockets, a tiny nose, and a mouth that reached from ear to ear. As the computer core, Abeloth was able to continue speaking with Dorvan in her voice, and when a terrified Dorvan attempted to shoot himself, she used the Force to move Dorvan's blaster away and suspend him upside down from the ceiling, telling him that no one would escape from her. Foreseeing the Jedi infiltrating the Temple, Abeloth disabled all of its interface panels, preventing them from lowering the deflector shields and blast doors guarding the Temple.

When a team of Jedi did infiltrate the Temple, the astromech droid Rowdy was dispatched to interact with the Temple's computer system and locate the computer core; the droid had to speak with the core directly in order to lower the shields and doors necessary to facilitate the planned assault by the Galactic Alliance Marines. Thirty-six hours later, bringing Rowdy, Jedi Jysella Horn, Valin Horn, and Ben Skywalker entered the passageway to the core, which was cleared of its Sith sentries with the help of Corran Horn, Luke Skywalker, and Jaina Solo. The latter trio pressed on to handle the Sith, who led the Jedi away from the core under the leadership of Lady Korelei, secretly another avatar of Abeloth's. After Rowdy sliced the lock of the decontamination chamber, the impatient droid made for a computer interface console at the core, prompting Jysella Horn to rush into the room as its door shut.

While Rowdy was able to track Jedi ally Vestara Khai being pursued by Sith on Level 30 corridor N300X, the droid relayed to Jedi Horn that the computer core insisted that she was the "master of the Jedi Temple" and the "Beloved Queen of the Stars," and had locked all the shields and blast doors in the facility. Realizing that the computer core was Abeloth herself, Jysella escaped with Rowdy and Dorvan, eventually regathering with other Jedi days later in the Senate Building. At a meeting between Jedi and Galactic Alliance personnel, marines leader Gavin Darklighter reported that they had only captured levels above 370—still having not reached the computer core of Level 351—and below the Pinnacle Platform—where the marines believed Abeloth hid. While Chief Dorvan was repetitively and furiously asserted that Abeloth was in the core rather than the Pinnacle, Jaina Solo reported that Lydea Pagorski was another avatar of Abeloth's who died in Imperial Space, confirming that the entity had multiple bodies and that there were indeed two Abeloths within the Temple.

Jedi Saba Sebatyne subsequently led a team of Gef Olazon's elite Void Jumper marines and Tahiri Veila, the Force user who had killed Abeloth as Pagorski, to storm the computer core. Within the chamber, Olazon's pulse bomb made Abeloth foresee an electromagnetic bombing that would destroy the computer core and her along with it, and as the glowing energy cloud that formed Abeloth's face approached to attack Sebatyne, it transformed into a flesh body so as to avoid a pulse bomb's effects, with the intent to take Sebatyne as her new avatar. Abeloth thus fell to Sebatyne's ploy, and the ensuing fight resulted in the Jedi overpowering Abeloth through the Force and through the flesh, killing the entity.

Abeloth's remaining avatar, Korelei, was destroyed afterward, and her spirit was similarly defeated. The Galactic Alliance successfully liberated and began recovering Coruscant, though the Jedi agreed to leave the world in order to make it less of a target and relocated to the world Shedu Maad.
